I have a little confession to make. With each session I do, I get a little attached to my families. From the booking questionnaire to the planning process to the actual session, I get a little glimpse of each family’s life and dynamic and I always walk away loving each family for different reasons. However with three sessions in the last six months, I think it’s safe to say I adore this family. These two twin boys are so rambunctious and outright adorable. They gave me a run for my money at Christmas mini sessions, but by this session they were running up to me yelling “Miss Stephanie!”, checking out my big camera, and inviting me to come play with them. Add on a stunning Mom and two laid back parents and it’s perfection.
When we first started talking about an outdoor session, they mentioned they lived on Lake Cable and would love to do the session in their own backyard. They had family visiting in from England and wanted to document all the sweet moments with their boys. I knew to get that beautiful light it would only work at sunrise when the sun would be coming up over the lake. Getting up at 5:30am (on a Saturday morning no less) was not an easy task, but oh so worth it. There is so much I love about this session. Even though no one was excited to be up so early, they all put on their best faces and we had so much fun. The moments we captured are just adorable and put the biggest smile on my face every time I look at them. If you have seen their previous sessions, you will know they actually have a fifth member of their family, Bear-Bear, and to my surprise when I arrived that morning another new member was added, Teddy Bear. As someone who’s daughter has a Teddy Bear who goes everywhere, this always tugs at my heart. If you look closely, you’ll see both Bear-Bear and Teddy Bear all throughout the session, and I love that this phase has been documented for them to look back on years from now.
