Julie contacted me at the very beginning of fall interested in a family session. She mentioned she was a little nervous as they hadn’t had professional pictures done since their high school senior pictures, but their little girl was turning one just two days before Christmas and she wanted to document the event with family pictures. I love that!
We met at Springfield Bog Metro Park in Akron, Ohio. I had been nervous about their session being middle of November, but it was the perfect backdrop. Over the summer there had been miles and miles of endless wildflowers and by November it had turned into this beautiful, straw-like texture which gave their pictures a fun, rustic feel that is so fitting for fall.
There are so many things I love about this session. The light that night was gorgeous, something that was hit or miss throughout the fall. And these guys were so much fun to work with. They came relaxed and ready to play and it made all the difference in their pictures. Their wardrobe was perfect. The blues popped so well against the rustic environment, and Julie’s sweater added just the right pattern and movement. And did I already mention the location? It was stunning and so perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to a busy fall season.
