One of my goals this year was to really stretch my locations. Not just be the photographer who shoots in tall, overgrown fields but also adds some adventure into them as well. I really wanted for my summer sessions to focus more around water this year and have been so happy to have families willing to adventure out with me. Yes you come home wet and maybe even a little muddy but the result is so worth it.
This family especially I’ve worked with for a few years now. This was their third session with me that they planned to celebrate their youngest’s first birthday. I always know going into their session I’m going to have some rambunctious boys on my hands but they always listen and are (mostly) well behaved.
We met up at Everett Covered Bridge up in the Cuyahoga Valley which providing the perfect backdrop. I love how the bridge frames them in all the family pictures but still provides the creek underneath for fun water pictures. We ended the night with a fun, little cake smash. Little man was not super into his cake but he still had the best time playing and clapping. And doesn’t he look so adorable in those suspenders and bow tie? I just love his little curls!
