So for almost two years now, I’ve dreamed of shooting in a tall field at sunset. That golden light just shining down on the grass. Kids running and playing. However, living in Ohio places like this have been almost impossible to find. As I’m driving around, it’s always on my mind and I’m always on the lookout for new locations for portrait sessions. Seriously, for almost two years now.
Last night on a spur of the moment hike, I found it. And it was sunset. It was gorgeous. My hands were on my camera before I even got out of my van. Thanks to all this rain we’ve been getting the fields have just been overgrown with tall grass and wildflowers. It is exactly what I’ve been imagining for so long. I think I’m going to spend the next couple of weeks making the most of this before someone gets the bright idea to mow it all down.
What a great reminder that when we stop looking for something, God will show it to us. The moment I wasn’t paying attention, God brought it all together. That’s how He works too, isn’t it? I’m already thinking about how big I’m going to print them and which wall I want them on. To have something in my head for almost two years finally brought to fruition feels amazing.
